The Hot House has its humble beginnings in teaching bikram yoga, which features 26 poses conducted in a hot room for over 90 minutes. Since its inception, The Hot House has evolved to offer a variety of classes, which includes ashtanga, pre-natal vinyasa and pilates.
The Hot House offers classes beginning at 8.30am and 9am through the day to 8pm certain days. There is an intro pack offer at Dh130 for seven days, for first-timers. Drop-ins are Dh80; packages begin Dh350 for five classes.

MProve Fitness was started by Emirati owner Mohammed Al Tamimi, a CrossFit athlete. This homegrown gym start-up is billed as the capital’s first warehouse gym and features a 15,000-square-foot space that offers CrossFit, Fit 4 Life, kickboxing and callisthenics classes. It also features a roster of ladies-only classes and is well-stocked with weights and cardio equipment.
MProve Fitness is open Sunday-Thursday from 6am to 10pm, 10am-9pm on weekends, located in the Al Maqta area, behind Princess Cars. Three-month, gym-only packages start at Dh1,599.
The global franchise has five branches in Abu Dhabi, which includes ladies-only gyms in Marina Mall, Al Seef Mall, and Bawabat Al Sharq Mall. The other two outlets are open to all genders and are located at Dalma Mall and Abu Dhabi Mall, while also offering a ladies-only section of the gym.
The Abu Dhabi Mall branch is their flagship outlet and offers many of the popular Les Mills group classes as well as a localised fitness programme called TUFF (The Ultimate Fitness Firster), focusing on strength and conditioning through bodyweight and barbell work.
4. Gold’s Gym
World-renowned Gold's Gym has three branches in Abu Dhabi: Al Wahda, Mazyad, and Deerfields. The branch in Al Wahda has a spacious studio that’s perfect for group fitness classes, and incudes a spacious mixed and ladies-only sections in the gym. Meanwhile, the Mazyad branch is a slightly smaller space but retains all the popular classes. The Deerfields branch is the newest of the three and features brand new equipment.
All three outlets offer Les Mills group fitness classes as well as other classes such as Legs, Bum, Tums (LBT), yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and more.

Curves is a specialised women-only gym that offers 30-minute group circuit sessions that involves alternating exercise movements every 30 seconds. The programme integrates exercises on the cardio mats and 12 hydraulic fitness machines, and is specially designed to cater to physical needs unique to women.
Curves is open from 9am-8pm and located on Baynuna Street, Al Bateen. A free trial class offered with a three-month membership starting at Dh666 per month.
